On June 20th, the 15th “World Brand Congress“ released its analysis report of “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2018“. The report, which was sponsored by the World Brand Lab, assessed Weiqiao’s brand value at RMB 60.572 billion, an increase approximately 17% or RMB 8.757 billion from 2017. This also marks the 15th consecutive year that Weiqiao has been ranked on World Brand Lab’s “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands” report since it was first published in 2004.
Brands from twenty-five industries, including food and beverage, textile and apparel, cultural media, information technology and household appliances were assessed in the 2018 report. Weiqiao ranked second among 33 brands from the textile and apparel industry and 40th among Shandong provincial brands.
World Brand Lab is an international and professional brand research institution headquartered in New York, USA. It is chaired by Robert Mundell, a professor at Columbia University in the United States, who won the 1999 Nobel Prize in Economics. Professor Mundell pointed out that technology innovation provides support for brand innovation. Technological innovation is just like fresh blood in human beings, brands cannot grow without it.
